What can a toddler do in Vegas? Everything!

Are you thinking about visiting Las Vegas and wondering if you should bring your little ones? Bringing children is usually not the first thing that comes to mind, especially not toddlers. Casinos, parties, and shows are usually at the top of the list, I mean they call it sin city for a reason.

My son and I were there for a long weekend, Mommy wanted to see Usher (ha ha moms deserve a night out too).  I wanted to see if I could debunk the idea of Vegas not being kid friendly. Well, I tested it out to see if I could find fun things to do for a few days with my toddler and the answer is - you absolutely can!

Here are a few of our favorite things and some others that you may want to consider:

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign

Our first stop was the #1 Las Vegas landmark. You cannot visit Las Vegas and not get a pic here, otherwise, did you really go to Vegas? When we arrived there was a pretty long line for pictures. Instead of waiting with a little one in the Vegas heat, we opted to use the guys that take donations and use your own phone to take the picture. You aren’t front and center, but we still got really good shots.

This is honestly the best children's museum I have ever visited and my little one loved it! It has multiple floors and something for children of every age. The first floor has a section that is specifically for toddlers and younger children. There was a play area, arts and crafts, learning about animals, a water table room (with the cutest rain gear), and a theatre with costumes the children could wear.

The 2nd floor was super cute and showcased different professions. The children had the opportunity to pretend to be doctors, dentists, cashiers, mechanics, athletes, and more! The 3rd floor was set up with different types of experiments and a play area (jungle gym) for older children. I could have stayed here all day but my little guy needed a nap. Which was fine because they had areas for nursing mothers. If we lived here, we’d be at this museum all the time. I may have enjoyed it more than my son.

Have you ever had lunch or dinner in the rain with gorillas, elephants and monkeys? No, well now you can. It is a rainforest themed restaurant with simulated rainstorms and animals that move and make sounds. The food is good and it’s a fun time.

This aquarium is perfect because its not too big, which means it’s not too much walking for your little. There are lots of attractions with over 2 thousand species of underwater animals. The underwater tunnel is cool too because you get to experience fish and sharks swimming all around you.

This exhibit showcased different dinosaurs and you got to see them in motion. We also had a chance to search for fossils in the sand.

Hotel pool

Of course you want to make sure you pick a hotel that has a great pool option. Las Vegas gets really HOT! It's a great way to keep cool and a free way to keep your child entertained. Don't forget your sunscreen and water!

Free and fun to watch. The children (and adults) get a kick out of watching the synchronized fountains "dance" to the music. I'm always so amazed by the fountains and Kairo liked it quite a bit as well. Check the website for the show times.

The adventuredome is a fun indoor amusement park and arcade. We did not visit during our trip (but I have gone in the past - we have another post about that coming soon!). My son would have been free BUT the price of my ticket wasn't worth the 2 rides he would be able to get on since he didn’t meet the height requirement for most of the attractions. Much better option if your child is 3 and up.

This is the Ferris wheel in Vegas. We did not visit during this trip but I have been on it a few times in the past (we will have another blog covering this one as well). It gives you great views of Las Vegas, the cars are very spacious and it's a fun experience.

*I was not paid for my opinion by any of these locations.
